A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sant Pau is a fine example of Catalan modernism, designed by architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
Built as a hospital in the early 20th century, the complex has been meticulously restored, showcasing its stunning Art Nouveau architecture and rich heritage. Today, Sant Pau stands as a cultural and institutional landmark in Barcelona. It also houses the Historical Archive of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, one of the world’s most important collections of hospital documentation.
Located just a 10-minute drive from The Hoxton, Poblenou. The experience concludes with a group photo and a relaxed evening reception featuring authentic Catalan flavours and local hospitality.

The Harkness Fellowship’s influence on arts and culture
Until the late-1990s, Harkness awarded many fellowships to those in Arts and Culture - musicians, artists, architects, poets, etc., as well as many who went on to work in the field of broadcasting and journalism. This session will explore the influence that the Fellowship had on these creatives and their post-fellowship careers.
